Since 1978, RPI has specialized in applied studies on coastal, marine, aquatic, and terrestrial ecosystems.

We have skills and experience in science-based emergency planning and response, natural resource damage assessment, ecosystem restoration, ecological and environmental consulting, spatial analysis and modeling including GIS and remote sensing, climate change analysis and solutions, sustainable development, regulatory compliance, and applied environmental toxicology.

RPI combines these skills with environmental data management and analysis to undertake complex projects using a multidisciplinary approach.

CSS

Founded in 1988, CSS conducts research and provides science-based solutions on evolving economic, environmental, human health, and social factors which underpin the management strategies for the sustainable use, protection, preservation, and restoration of our freshwater, coastal, marine, and terrestrial ecosystems.

We conduct empirical and model-based research at multiple spatial and temporal scales. We design and conduct laboratory experiments. We develop recommendations and tools for researchers, industry, communities, and managers.
